About The Event
LFL presents to you with "Mangroves Matter: Ocean Literacy & Coastal Futures!"
On the occasion of International Mangrove Day, ORFโs Oceans Initiative proposes a one-hour interactive workshop at St. Xavierโs College, Mumbai, to promote awareness and ocean literacy among youth on the vital role of mangrove ecosystems. Through expert insights, interactive activities, and discussions, the session will explore how mangroves contribute to coastal resilience, biodiversity conservation, climate action, and sustainable livelihoods, while highlighting their relevance to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 14 (Life Below Water), and SDG 15 (Life on Land). The workshop aims to inspire students to become informed and engaged contributors of coastal and marine ecosystems.
